Super Magnetic Coolant Filters
A magnetic coolant filter whose power source is a high quality rare-earth permanent magnetic material. The rare-earth magnets develops magnetic fields up to 8 times stronger than conventional Ferrite magnets. The rare-earth magnetic filter manufactured by Filcon is a drum type magnetic separator which utilizes a rare-earth magnet that maximizes magnetic field strength. The resulting high field strength removes even material having weak magnetic properties such as, carbide and carbon hardened steel.
The contaminated coolant with fine ferrous particles enters the pump and flows through gap between rotating drum and the body of the magnetic filter. Particles attracted to the drum are held to the drum by magnetic field and lifted to the top. A spring loaded synthetic rubber roller mounted on the drum squeezes the dust, which is further scraped out from the drum by scraper and is collected in the dust bin.
Filcon Super magnetic separators are not require any consumables. Excellent efficiency even for separating materials having weak magnetic properties such as carbide and carbon hardened steel. Excellent contamination removal hence improved surface finish, increased life of grinding wheel, reduced dressing frequency and extends coolant life. It is suitable for surface grinding, Internal & External grinding, Centerless grinding, Thread grinding, Gear grinding, Polishing and Lapping. Super magnetic coolant filters are available from 50 LPM to 250 LPM capacities.
